Just minutes away from the start of the concert, fans were piled up inside waiting to catch a glimpse of the band She & Him. Almost 3000 people appeared to show their support for the indie-group, while screaming and chanting for actress Zooey Deschanel. Most people didn’t bother to even hold a camera to the event, regardless of the strict rules against photography. It was all about living in the moment. Two fans who made it front and center of the concert talked to Inspire about the band.

Heather Banchieri and Allison Howard loves the duo-power and were thrilled to see them perform. Howard, a big fan of Deschanel, said “I heard about the band through Zooey…I love all of her movies…especially ‘Flakes.’”

While fans listened to She & Him’s back up singers performed their numbers, Deschanel and Ward rehearsed backstage. The duo has been on a world tour but recently returned home to America. In between a performance, Deschanel clearly stated, “Europe is nice for visiting…home is for living” with a smile on her face. Any word that came out of her mouth led to an eruption of cheers.

The spotlight was constant on Deschanel, and Ward was left in the dark most of the time. Once they began singing together in songs like “Magic Trick,” they relighted the stage. Most ‘talents’ often cannot perform without their studio’s auto-tuning programs, but She & Him live is probably their best time to show how well they can present their musical endowment.

The band sung from their first album and their second album, yet included other cover songs as heard at their Coachella act. Their songs convey a summer feeling of relaxation as well a car ride with all the right beats.

Before the “Ridin in My Car” performance, She & Him welcomed a special guest. NRBQ’s Al Anderson, whose band originally wrote and performed “Ridin in My Car,” came out to perform with Ward and Deschanel. The three lighted the stage and scattered shrieks for Al exploded.

As the show ended around 11:00 PM, fans reeled back the band for two encores. Ward rocked out to “Roll Over Beethoven,” and Deschanel carried out her cover of “I Put a Spell on You.” Dancing and drinking, the concert was a reminiscent of a music festival in the 1960s. No, not the Woodstock Festival.

Although indie-bands are never as popular, She & Him has provided the proof for such talent and charisma. This widely popular group is still touring until July. Check out their website for show dates and even exclusive merchandise.

Inspire was fortunate enough to work with wonderful sponsors who provided trendy gifts for celebrity guests at the “Inspire a Little Love” event. The jewlery was popular among female guests which was supplied by Dazzle and Chunk as well as Pink Sugar Bakery. Tina (Dazzle and Chunk) and her daughter presented various pieces from Dazzle and Chunk’s collection including cupcake necklaces. Celebrity guests including Fivel Stewart (Booboo Stewart’s sister), Haley Ramm (iCarly), and even BG5 praised the company.

Inspire was fortunate to work with David and Goliath in providing hilarious tees that even actress Bella Thorne and Booboo Stewart couldn’t resist. From “I love burgers” to “I love ninjas,” any teen would enjoy wearing the t-shirts. Betty Belts also topped the attire with original and ocean-inspired belts.

Other accessories also added the final touch. Brazilets, Birdie and Peanut, Whippy Cake, Road Rage, and StrummWear. Brazilets are a fun way to make wishes come true while StrummWear releases one’s love for music. Whippy Cake is a major hit among the stars as countless people wore it during Inspire’s charity event. Birdie and Peanut also provided the sweetest hair accessories.

To establish healthful skin and appearances, Saphoros, My Lip Stuff, and Miracle Hydrate are the hot spots among celebrities. Products are animal-test free and leaves the luscious scents.

All guests were given reusable bags by June 15 to hold their new swag. Inspire chose to work with June 15 as the company also seeks to reduce waste. These stylish reusable bags are used be Taylor Beckett, Spencer Locke, Chloe Bridges, and much more.

Inspire was also blessed to have the support Menchies, Fred Flare, Jeff Spoelstra, Steaz (Tasty beverages!), and Cinnabon from the Oaks (Delicious cupcakes!), Amanda Elkins. All of Inspire’s guests enjoyed munching on cupcakes and devouring all the frozen yogurt. For one night, Los Angeles united to raise awareness for TWLOHA.

If you knew someone who was quietly suffering, would you help them?

If you had something to say, and you knew the world would listen, would you speak up?

Hollywood’s hottest, young celebrities answered YES to these questions, and used their status to get the world to listen at Inspire Magazine’s charity event, “Inspire A Little Love,” benefiting To Write Love on Her Arms. TWLOHA was created in 2006 to help one person, a personal friend of Founder, Jamie Tworkowski. Today, the non-profit organization shows thousands that hope is real.

Dozens of teen actors, singers, musicians, and fans, came out to L.A’s Club 740 in support of this one night affair to raise awareness for those suffering from depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Many of these celebs lives have personally been touched by these quiet killers.

“…they’re not going to be judged.”

Shane Harper, of Disney’s “Good Luck Charlie,” and soon to be seen in the upcoming Rob Reiner film, “Flipped,” explained how the loss of his cousin to suicide affected his life. “It took us all by surprise,” he said. “I feel like we need to be more open with what’s going on in our life and not be scared to tell family and friends what we’re going through.” Most importantly, Shane says, “I want kids to know that there are people out there who want to talk to them, that people genuinely care. They need to know that they can express their feelings and what they’re going through, and that they’re not going to be judged.”

Celebrity Photographer, Amanda Elkins, stepped out from behind the camera to support TWLOHA’s cause along with many of the young celebs she has shot. BooBoo Stewart, (Seth Clearwater in the upcoming Twilight saga, “Eclipse”), is one of those who has graced her lense. He and his sister, Fivel, hit the red carpet to help raise money for this incredible charity. These talented teens want to encourage people to seek help, instead of considering suicide. “I am so grateful for everything that I have. People just need to be themselves and look out into the world and see that so many people don’t have anything,” says BooBoo.

“There are things about you that people love…”

Allie DiMeco, of Nickelodeon’s “The Naked Brothers Band,” says she first heard of this event from the Tweets of her celeb friends. “I’m from a really small town in Connecticut, and I can’t even stress how big TWLOHA is there.” DiMeco says she jumped at the opportunity to get involved. “A really close friend of mine was affected by depression. I want people to know that it’s really important to talk it out, and to remind them that they do have someone.”

Allie begs people to reach out and not isolate themselves. “You have to remember that there are so many people around you that love you, and there are things about you that people love, and reasons they want to be next to you.”

“It’s ok to say that you need help.”

YouTube singing sensation, Emily Harder, headlined the night’s performances. Harder says she proudly wears her TWLOHA t-shirt back home in Canada. “TWLOHA has really helped people that I know realize that there is a solution, and you can open up and talk to people you trust.” Her red carpet buddy for the night, Brendan Robinson, of the film, “The River Why,” believes “young people don’t know that it’s ok to come out and talk about it. It’s ok to say that you need help.” After attending this event, he says TWLOHA will be a top charity on his list to support.

Inspire Magazine Editor, Lucia Tran, specifically teamed up with TWLOHA for reasons close to her heart. “This charity provides hope for those who have lost it all.” Tran sparked the idea for this pairing while looking for a charity that addresses the important issues of today. She urges those that are suffering to “take a breath, calm down, and know that there is hope. Don’t feel lost.” Tran expresses, “It is a relief to know that TWLOHA is out there, and I am so thankful for this charity.”

Most children her age are just finishing up the 5th grade, but Cecilia Cassini faces a greater challenge. Juggling school and work, Cassini makes headlines at just 10-years-old. This fashion designer has created a variety of pieces for children her age and younger, including a customized dress for actress Bella Thorne.

“I…started when I got my first machine for my sixth birthday,” explained Cassini, “my parents told me that I was always painting or cutting my clothes [as a baby].” 2010 is a big year for this young designer. With a trunk show, segment on the “Today Show,” and attending fashion shows in New York, Cassini is in demand by the industry.

“Fashion is super cool because it is a way for people to express themselves and you can wear your own clothes.” Her creative pieces are often worn by Cassini herself, but are sold in various stores for children including “Tough Cookies.”

Before going public with fashion, Cassini “decided to create [her] own line with all the one of a kind masterpieces [she] had already made. People said [she] should ’share’ [her] creations!” One year later, Cassini started gracing newspapers and the internet with her biggest kicker, ‘Youngest fashion designer.’

In her spare time, she attends shows in New York City where she hopes to gather inspiration for new pieces. “I got inspired by the snow and yellow cabs, so when I got back to Los Angeles, I created a “snow” and “yellow cab” collection. It sound silly but the dresses are actually pretty.” Girls her age can only imagine attending a fashion show with their names printed on a seat. “I am lucky that I have been invited to some,” Cassini begins, “I really loved it all from the runway to the models rushing backstage.”

Now, her new line will be sold at Fred Segal beginning May 1st, 2010. “Portions of the proceeds will go to Children¹s Hospital Los Angeles because I think it is important to give back to other children who are not has fortunate as I am.” Her name doesn’t end there. NBC’s “Today Show” filmed Cassini working and being interview by Jenna Bush, President Bush’s daughter. On a recent blog, Cassini exclaims “As famous and important as she is, Jenna taught my that no matter what, nice and normal is the way to go!”

Although she is 10, people of all ages can link to her for inspiration on making imagination a reality. Success is not about being famous, it’s about achieving happiness, which is where Cassini is.

Actress Kaili Thorne (Lincoln Heights, Blind Ambition) celebrated her 18th birthday in style at the ROYAL T café in Culver City, CA.

She greeted her guests in a rocker-princess inspired dress designed by Jesus Estrada, a finalist from Lifetime’s Project Runway Season 7.

Celebrity guests included Cassi Thomson (Big Love, Recording Artist), Jesus Estrada (Project Runway), Haley Ramm (Ben Ten: Race Against Time), Kyle Kaplan (ABC Family’s 10 Things I Hate About You), Spencer Locke (Resident Evil, Phil of the Future), and Ryan Newman (Zeke and Luther) among others.

Royal T’s fanciful art space was transformed into the ultimate club scene, complete with a live DJ and gourmet hors d’oeuvres and desserts that included delicious Whitnie Burke Cupcakes.

Zeke and Luther’s Ryan Newman, wearing a gorgeous dress from The Collection by Sara Sara, marveled at the modern décor and had a blast dancing the night away with close friend Bella Thorne who “cannot believe how fast her sister is growing up.” Bella recently landed a special guest appearance on Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly place, scheduled to air this April.

B.Thorne’s co-star Cassi Thomson from HBO’s “Big Love” (recently picked up for its fifth season) and Haley Ramm, from the upcoming movie “Skateland,” also helped K.Thorne celebrate her big “one-eight.” Surrounded by her closet friends and family, this rocker-princess kicked off her first year of adulthood with a night to remember.
